Silvia M. M. Magalhães, MD, PhD is Full Professor of Hematology in the Department of Clinical Medicine and Postgraduate Program in Clinical Medicine at Federal University of Ceará, Brazil. She is the coordinator of the MDS Committee of the ABHH and part of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Association of Hematology, Hemotherapy and Cell Therapy (ABHH) and of the Myelodysplastic Syndrome Foundation.
